In a recent development on July 18th, 2025, charges previously laid against Baker Dawas have been dropped.
Mr. Dawas, a “decorated firefighter” and “community leader,” is now awaiting a court hearing with no date set to finalise the remaining legal matters, with Justice Andrew Tinney stating the circumstantial case is “quite powerful.” Further updates will follow after the next court appearance.

What is Circumstantial Evidence?
Circumstantial evidence is indirect. It doesn’t show the crime happened but presents facts/circumstances from which a fact may reasonably be inferred.
